EMANUEL VANDEN BERGHE
Tenor, pianist and painter
Artist, son of the late painter René Vanden Berghe (Grand Prix of Rome), he was born in Oostende. Being a visual artist already at a young age (12 years) He has won the prize of the Ministry of Culture at the international contest in Dendermonde as 1st in his age category and 2nd in the world ranking. He has also received the prizes of the city and the Academy of Oostende.
He studied as a pianist and singer at the conservatories of Brussels and Ghent and he was perfected among others by Maestro Carlo Bergonzi in Busseto (Italy). As a singer, he plays various genres (lied, oratorio, opera, operetta, improvisation), and is also involved in the creation of contemporary works (eg Ars Musica Festival Brussels, Concerts in Europe and worldwide.
Voice educator.
He is co-founder and performer of the project Droes, aiming to bring opera, especially his specific voice, to young children.
